It's never too late to decorate

All of the twinkling lights and shiny things around Christmas time is something that I always look forward to. I love all the colors of green and dark reds...but who would have thought of light pink!?...My awesome mom!

You will probably find out that I'm obsessed with Pinterest, I go on all of the time! (its probably not healthy ha) I ended up getting my mom and sister hooked on it as well! One day my mom was looking at it and saw this "pin" where they tyed tulle along a strand of lights...I know it sounds so plane but when she showed me a picture of what they would look like I feel in love. So she decided to try to make one and hang it in my bathroom.

This is the finished product of what my mom did:

Yes, it is pink and white! I love it though, and I love even more how she threw in white snowflake ornaments to make it look Christmasy and whimsical! I'm not gonna lie though, when I first saw it I thought it looked like it was for a little girl but then I actually looked at it and thought it looked so precious!

All she used was a strand of white lights, pink and white (glitter) tulle and snowflake ornaments from Target that come in packs of 2 for $1! It's such a cute simple way to decorate!

Speaking of lights...here is a picture of my precious kitty named Loretta sitting in a bundle of lights...not too sure why she enjoys sitting and sleeping on them ha
I hope everyone is getting into the wonderful Christmas spirit! :)

The color nude

I went shopping today, not really looking to buy anything...but then I found this nude shirt and I must say, I fell in love.  I was always a little nervous to wear the color nude. I felt it would wash me out since I have light skin, but I was surprised when I tried on a shirt and that didn't happen!

I saw how these celebs wore nude and figured, why not try a nude colored shirt too:

I bought this lovely shirt at Nordstrom Rack. I loved it as soon as I put it on! I was a little upset to find that there was no price tag on it. I decided that if it wasn't too expensive then I would get it but if it was more then $15 then I would sadly have to put it back, but to my surprise, it was on sale for $9.97!
(I had to take a picture of the tag, I was so excited!)

(Without it on)

I was so excited to wear it that right when I got home, I changed into it and wore this outfit to go get coffee with one of my friends!

Later that same day...
Still excited and not wanting to change, I decided to switch it up a bit when I went to church later that night!

I am in love! And it worked out great because I ended up pairing it with things I already had in my closet. A lot of times I feel like I have to wear new things with new things but really, all you have to do is play around with your clothes and mix and match things up.

A saying I heard a while back was, "The streets are your runway." I know a little cheesy but I think it's true. Don't be scared to adventure out into your closet and try new things!

Mustard Yellow Scarf

I have noticed a lot of this mustard yellow color almost every fall and I gradually started falling in love with it. I've seen it not only in scarfs but in shoes, purses, dresses and much more.

(I also found this one at Anthropologie for $38) see site here

I have been looking for something similar to the yellow scarfs I've seen and finally found one when I went to Target! I know...Target! I found a scarf, that to me, is just as good as the expensive ones. And when I found it it happened to be on sale! It was originally $15 and was on sale for $10! I absolutely love it!

It has been hard to find one this color that was also cheap, so I'm so happy that I finally found one! I also got really excited that I bought one for my sister too! :)
