My day

Who knew antique shops would be so fun? I absolutely was in love with all of the neat things they had there when we went.

I found it so neat seeing all of the different types of jewelry they had. Can you spot the pretty bracelet I bought at the antique shop?

If you guessed that I bought the one on the far left you're right! 

After a while at the antique shops we worked up an appetite. We ate Corner Bakery where I ate tomato basil soup and a yummy spinach salad with grapes, strawberries and cranberries and the dressing was pomegranate vinaigrette.

Finally have the perfect earring holder

 I hope everyone is having a beautiful day today. I thought I would put a view of what my blog writing looks like. I have to have my cup of green tea in my absolute favorite mug from Anthropologie. *hehe*  [mug] Also, I'm listening to the awesome Kari Jobe. Her voice is simply beautiful and her heart for the Lord is so so sweet!

 I used to have my earrings in a huge tray and it was doing ok for a while but when I stepped back and noticed how much room it was taking up on my dresser I had to change it. I started looking at ideas on what else but of course, Pinterest. I found some cute ones but the one I loved the most was the earring frame so I decided to give it a try. 

I purchased the frame at a garage sale for only $1 and I had some wire in my garage. It was super easy to make, I just stapled the wire to the back of the frame and ta-da, you have a place to hang your earrings! I am still a little stumped on what I'm going to do with the stud earrings I have since you can't hang them on the frame but I'm thinking about purchasing a cheap/cute tea cup and putting them in there.

I also gave my nails a new polish of paint! I do like to nice polish like Essie, OPI and Chanel but the two cheap polishes I'm obsessed with is NYC and Revlon. 

And yes, I did put lotion on before I polished my nails, see the no paint on the side. So happy for that! :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Have you ever waited to buy birthday presents until the day of? I have! And thats what my morning/afternoon consisted of. I woke up early and made my first stop at Target, thank goodness they have a Starbucks inside. [Tall soy ice chi latte]

Thankfully I was able to finish all the shopping just in time! :)

And after all of the shopping I had enough time to make his favorite cake [german chocolate]! Unfortunately, not enough time to make it from scratch so thank goodness for box mix and store bought frosting!

The night before I made this banner out of construction paper for him.

And of course, kitty being curious with the tissue paper.

So thankful for my dad and having him here for another year! He is definitely a huge blessing in my life. He is always giving me encouragement and wisdom, don't know what I would do without him!

A ride, comfy clothes and new earrings

What better way to start off your morning then with a nice chilly bike ride! [Thankfully it started warming up towards the end.] But whew, going for a bike ride after relaxing and eating over the holidays was definitely a tough thing to do. 

Leggings, over sized sweater, glittery pink scarf, knee high socks & boots. Definitely a comfy day!

Made a little shopping trip with a friend and found these gorgeous earrings from the Nordstrom BP department. For only $10...I had to buy them!
