Two same things, two different prices

I took a trip to Forever 21 and bought a dress [below] which I fell in love with because it looks so chic and classic! After I bought it I ended up going to Nordstrom where I found a look like! I was in complete shock when I saw it and was even more in shock when I saw the price!

Below is the dress that I bought at Forever 21 for only $27!
[I wore it to work with a black blazer over it and some solid black flats.]

This is the dress I saw at Nordstrom for $118! [Brand: Donna Ricco Colorblock pleated neck jersey shift dress]

Chanel nail polish...and lunch

I have been eyeing Chanel nail polish for some time now and finally decided to splurge. It's my first time purchasing Chanel nail polish and I love it! The color is a sparkly grey and the thing I love is that it's not scattered sparkle. I'm hoping to continue to add to my new collection! :)
[Color: Graphite 529]

I decided to start making smarter choices when it comes to eating healthy by packing my lunch and being wiser if I eat out. Below is a picture of my first packed lunch for work. Since I'm still sore and can't really eat anything hard, I packed mostly soft things. Also, I recently purchased this lunch container at Target for $5, it's super neat because it divides all my food and I don't have to have everything in separate containers!
On the left is turkey meat, string cheese and sliced peta bread. On the top right is strawberry vanilla yogurt with chopped strawberries on the bottom and on the bottom left is sliced watermelon. It was so yummy and I felt so good afterwards.

How to make your own bath salts

As y'all know, I got my wisdom teeth taken out which means I've had a lot of down time. I've mostly just been sleeping and watching T.V but that can get boring after a while...especially on the 4th day. So my sister and I decided to make our own bath salts!

Ingredients:
- Baby Oil (1/2 cup)
- Epsom Salt (1 cup)
- Olive Oil (1/2 cup)
- Fragrance (about 6 squirts, depending on how strong you want it)
- Measuring Cup
- Bowl
- Spoon

-All you do is pour the salts into the bowl, along with the two oils and aroma and mix, mix, mix!
I bought this fragrance at Hobby Lobby for only $3 and got Honey Almond but you can choose any aroma you like!
We also bought these adorable containers at Hobby Lobby to store our bath salts for about $1.99!

Another idea: My mom wanted her scrub to be made with half raw sugar and the other half regular sugar. After we mixed it all together we found that the sugars absorbed the oils quite a bit so we added a bit more baby oil than before, or you could put more olive oil, it's up to you! :)

My beginning of the week

This week has been a pretty crazy one and it's not even over yet! On Monday, my family and I went to our cities baseball game. It was such a pretty evening to watch some good baseball, but then an unexpected surprise happened...it started lighting! We left and as soon as we got into our car it started pouring! It was such a thrilling ride and definitely a fun evening!

On the following day I bought this adorable clutch/cross body! Coral is my absolute favorite color so when I saw this at Nordstrom in the junior department (B.P) I had to buy it. The best part was that it was only $22!
This is what the inside looks like. It folds open and has a pocket in the front and it zips open to a bigger opening where it goes all the way to the bottom so you can put a lot more!

Finally, on Wednesday I got my wisdom teeth taken out. I've never had any sorta of surgery/operation before so it is safe to say I was beyond freaked out when I found out that I had to get this done. The good thing is was that I don't remember a thing because they gave me medicine before I had it done so it knocked me out. The bad thing is the recovery. It's been hard for me to eat and talk and I'm totally not used to my cheeks looking like chipmunks, but I must admit it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The picture below has basically been my diet, Odwalla's have been amazing and probably something I drink/eat the most! If you have this procedure done I recommend getting those drinks!

Mothers Day Ideas

Mothers day is such a huge deal for me. My mom does so much for me and always puts herself last, so it's only right to put her first and give her the best things! I love this day because it's a day to really just focus on her and show her how much we love her and appreciate everything she does and sacrifices.

So here is my very first collage on this blog, filled with some ideas of things you could possibly get your mom on her very special day:

1. Kate Spade adhesive pads $25.  2. Linked in love necklace $32 [From Francescas].  3. Mini Emergency Kit- $17.  4. Kate Spade new york rigid iPhone case 4 & 4s $40.  5. Reno Heart Ring $42 [From Brighton].  6. AK Anne Klein Round Roman Numeral Watch $65.  7. Kate Spade new yourk 'Primrose hill-james' tote $448.  8. MICHAEL Michael Kors Square Sunglasses $99.  9. Chalkboard Spice Jar $10 each at Anthropologie.

Also, don't forget to be creative. Instead of buying a Hallmark card (which are always so wonderful) maybe this year make her a heart felt one. Or make her the classic breakfast in bed, wash dishes, do the little things that she will really appreciate.
